Rab study:: Destined to tourism "Rab postcards"
- research in the field of social sciences
and humanities presented as virtual exhibition, on the theme of Tourism
Development in Mediterranean:: ie. Croatian Adriatic Islands; Sustainable
and non-sustainable Development-Practices, Managemen, Policies and Impacts,
with emphasys on irresponsiblity impacts. This
is a 2-year project started in 2004. to encourage
long-term thinking and holistic solutions to environmental and social issues
on the island Rab by facilitating a public conversation about the future
of the island. The project has several components, including research on
trends in motion likely to affect the 21st century small islands; envisioning
possible futures; consulting local community about what kind of island
the islanders want for children and grandchildren to inherit.
